Designers’ Touch is a Michigan-based decorating store that provides service that is customer-focused. We provide personal attention and a personal touch. We also offer special pricing! Designers’ Touch was established in 2006. We are proud to have served Michigan families for over a decade and counting! Our staff also has over 70 years of combined experience.

Meet The Team | It’s the “finishing touches” that turn a house into a home.

Bob (BJ) Jarabeck, Jr. – Owner

Having worked in the flooring business alongside his father, Bob Sr., since 16 years of age learning the flooring trade business. BJ has hands-on learning experience installing all types of flooring, custom-mixing paint, and window treatments. In 2006, BJ opened a retail store of his own and we rented a facility in Freeland until our new location could be built in 2016. We appreciate the tradesmen that have helped make our dream come true. Our manufacturers and representatives boast about our nice selection and beautiful showroom. In 2008, Designers’ Touch joined the FCA Network, a group of floor covering companies around the nation, to give us better selection at a very competitive price structure. We take pride in the workmanship our installation crews provide and look forward to the opportunity to service all potential clients.

Darlene Thelen – Manager

Darlene has been a part of our team since we opened our doors in 2006. She has a comprehensive decorating experience from new homes to renovations. Many have been in the Parade of Homes. She is very knowledgeable with blinds, and flooring. And has designed many tiled showers. And has an excellent eye for color. She can make your house into a home! She manages our store also between taking care of her clientele. She always creates a friendship with her customers. And considers it a pleasure to become friends with them.

Karen Redmond

Karen received a degree in Fine Arts with a specialty in Interior Design and, after college, worked at Ethan Allen where she honed in her eye for home design. Over the years, she has enjoyed helping her friends and family with interior design of their homes. From traditional to Modern Farmhouse, Karen is looking forward to helping you create the home of your dreams and make your Pinterest boards come to life!

Danna Lechner

At Designers’ Touch, you’ll find Danna always busy assisting our customers. She is wonderful at helping everyone with their design and decorating needs.

Marsha Pacholke

Marsha has over 30 years experience and a passion for design and assisting people with their decorating needs. She started career as an Interior Designer with Ethan Allen and has been working with flooring (carpet/hard surface), window treatments (shades/drapery), paint colors, and many other aspects of design. Additionally, she has a keen interest in tile and counter tops. Marsha holds an Associates Degree in Interior Design.

Jennifer Jarabeck

Jennifer has been involved with Designers’ Touch Decorating with BJ since it’s inception. “The living room is the heart of my home, so I enjoy collaborating with the designer and client to coordinate a plush carpet or Luxury Vinyl Plank floor in theirs,” Jennifer says about her favorite room to design. When you come to Designers’ Touch, Jennifer will be there greet with warmly and help you with any needs.
