Engineered Hardwood Flooring

Why choose engineered hardwood?

Construction and Durability

Engineered Hardwood is composed of several layers of plywood with a real hardwood surface and looks almost identical to Solid Harwood flooring. The major difference between Solid and Engineered Hardwood is that Engineered consists on one thin layer of Hardwood on the surface, while Solid is one full piece of Hardwood throughout. This makes sanding and refinishing this product much more difficult and risky. However, Engineered Hardwood has a scratch and water resistant coating, with a layered plywood interior that resists expanding and contracting over time.

Style & Texture

Like Solid Hardwood, Engineered Hardwood is available in many different styles, colors, sizes, and textures. Texture reflects each homeowners’ unique style and creates a welcoming atmosphere. It gives the room an energetic or weathered appearance that appeals to both homeowners and buyers. Engineered wood choices can lose their textures after refinishing if not done correctly, which is why we always recommend that installations and refinishings be done by professionals.

Engineered

Engineered Hardwood is a versatile alternative to Solid Hardwood flooring. This flooring option is a very cost effective choice that adds a natural and elegant look to any room in your home. It’s very similar in appearance to solid hardwood, but it differs in structure and methods of installing.

Engineered Hardwood flooring can be installed over concrete and wooden subfloors at, above, or below ground level and takes less time to install than Solid Hardwood flooring. Engineered Hardwood can be installed using a variety of different attachment methods including:

  • Staples
  • Glue
  • Tongue and Groove System (Float)

We provide professional flooring installation services.
